Background information

The acronym Teens4CAP stands for Teens for Climate Action for Peace. This Teens4CAP competition was first initiated and sponsored by The Blue Ribbon (TBR) Global with the support of UCSI Schools and UCSI Group SDG Secretariat Office in December 2020. This award is also supported by the Regional Centre of Expertise Greater Kuala Lumpur (RCE GKL), a centre endorsed by United Nations University for promoting Education for Sustainable Development. It emphasises SDG 4 Quality and Inclusive Education and UN SDGs theme, “Leave No One Behind”. This year, TBR will fund the Teens4CAP National World Soil Day 2022 award. The theme for this year’s World Soil Day is “Soils: Where food begins”.

We will also launch the World Soil Day Asia Pacific Award 2023 this year. We look forward to collaborating with countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Australia and Korea within the Asia Pacific region via the RCE Network and WWF Asia Pacific region. Students that win the national level competition will be invited to represent Malaysia at the Asia Pacific level next year.
